Service to society and pursuit of the public good are some of the main missions of universities and other social institutions. But in a society as divided as ours, how can we live a just life? Are politics inherently a zero-sum struggle among competing interests? How can we promote change within diversity and disagreement? Join us for a conversation exploring justice, leadership, and the relationship between personal conviction and public responsibility. Together, we’ll wrestle with how to engage in dialogue across differences, pursue unity, and lead institutions and communities made up of people with diverse beliefs, values, and priorities. This will be a moderated discussion followed by student question & response time.
